PayPal is a secure and easy way to send and receive money.
You can do the following:
- Send and receive money from friends, family, or others.
- Set up a PayPal account for your business.
- Transfer funds from your bank account.
- Purchase goods or services from retailers who accept PayPal as a form of payment.
In order to set up a PayPal account, you need to provide the following:
- Email Address
- Phone Number
- Bank Account
- Debit/Credit Card
First Of all, go to paypal.com and click on sign up. Now enter your email, password, and name. If you want to create a custom PayPal.com email address, please click on “No” otherwise click on “Yes.”
Enter your phone number (and select your country code). Enter an appropriate username (min 6 characters with no spaces) and password (min 8 characters with 1 letter and 1 number).
Fill in required fields for address, then fill in required fields for bank account information. Fill in the rest of the form; if you agree to the terms of services, tick the yes box. Lastly, click on sign up.
There are different types of accounts available: Personal – this is free of charge Business – there’s a monthly fee 2.9 + $0.30 USD per transaction Premier – this costs $9.95 USD per month Business account is recommended because there are no monthly fees, but it requires a VAT number.
After you have set up your PayPal account, it will ask you to re-confirm your information so go again to Paypal.com and enter your new email address and password. You can either choose for instant activation or activate manually by clicking on the link in the email which was sent to you after registering your new account through email.
The email address registered with PayPal enables users to receive money from another user (eBay) without creating another username with them unless both users agree on having separate emails used only for transactions between each other (eBay). Once logged into your account, go to settings and click on “Personal Information.”
Click on Add New under Email, then choose the type of email address you want to add. Enter your new email (e.g. yahoo) in the Add New Personal Email section box, then press save changes at the bottom of the page. If another window pops up, this means that there is some problem with adding the account; please check for typo errors or inappropriate characters in username/password/email, etc.
